Beertender

We are looking for amazing, outgoing, welcoming, and friendly beertenders to join our new brewery! Full and part time availability needed.

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Greet and serve guests hospitably and effectively advise and sell beer to guests

  • Assist with daily tasting room operations that include opening and/or closing the taproom

  • Answer tasting room phone to field questions and help draw guests to visit

  • Handle routine point-of-sale transactions

  • Complete routine cleaning and housekeeping tasks to maintain a neat and orderly beer drinking environment

  • Educate guests about the uniqueness of our brand

  • Assist with stocking the merchandise area and ringing up merchandise for guests

  • Assist with brewery events and shindigs

  • Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol

  • Attempt to limit problems and liability related to guest’ excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading guests to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons

What you need for the role:

  • Passion for craft beer! As well as a love for people with a friendly, outgoing personality and commitment to exceptional customer service

  • 1+ year of beer serving experience preferred. Knowledge of the craft beer industry and brewing process a huge plus

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • TIPs certification preferred (required to have within 30 days of hire). Cicerone Certification, another huge plus!

  • Knowledge and ability to talk fluidly about flavors and profiles of all styles of beers preferred (or very excited about learning)

  • Effective time management, excellent communication and reasoning skills

  • Passion for delivering true hospitality with a customer focus

  • Flexible schedule and ability to work nights, weekends and occasional holidays

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff in a tight space

  • Quick and efficient without being brisk and rude, while retaining self-composure and managing stress

  • Strong work ethic, responsible, and ability to jump in feet first

  • Commitment to the Public Offering Brewing Co vision, brand, and community

  • Computer proficiency (POS systems and MS Office)

  • Must pass background check

About Public Offering Brewing Company: 

We are a start-up brewery located along the S. Broadway corridor in the Platte Park/Rosedale neighborhood of Denver with an anticipated opening in  late October or early November. We operate a 10BBL, two vessel brewhouse with a focus towards on-premises sales by welcoming, serving and engaging our neighbors and the surrounding communities to the best of our abilities.
